0.0 Intro
0.1First off You start completing the newbie quests of course.
After doing this we will continue with the guide full of tips ;P
Here or here U can find the quests u have to complete, might u have deleted them.

Ok, u have made Your First village into a little city and u got a new village woot.
U heard u have to choose between being a merchant and a barbarian(military lover ;O)
Assuming your reading this u chose to become a Merchant, or u can't seem to choose and decided to be a Human(not a barbarian not a merchant = a human ;P)
(Human is Equal to Hybrid(only in this guide ofc) ;O i named it like that xD)

0.2 Disclamer
Here i would like to say that this guide is simply to advice Players.
This is not a walkthough u find for your everyday RPG games ^_^
so dont go following this guide literaly (if thats even possible) and think abit for your own ;P

1.0 Getting Started

1.1
When u First start u had/have a chance to use Lottery codes
my Intel doesn't have info if it works already so u should find it out on your self
If it works I strongly advise you to buy 4-5 crystals for NPC zone and for the rest treasure boxes.
If the codes do not work, too bad.

1.2Ok, now to start the tips / guide.
First of you should decide on YOUR own if u want to terraform your second village.
if you would terraform I would suggest to make it into a Lake or into a Desert.
Depending on your choice we go further
If you choose to terraform go on to 1.3
If you choose not to go on to 1.4

1.3
Terraforming.
Terraforming, I bet you have seen that button with Terraformin on it.
it actually mean TeraforminG so when u click that u can choose to change to recourse fields to your liking(also depends on your luck) When u press Terraformin u will see this window:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-22
U get to choose what to change the fields to:
Plain: u get fields where u can place farms on --> for Food
Desert: U get Fields where u can build Refineries on --> for Crystal
Lake: U get fields where u can build Sand Fields on --> for Sand Stone
Woodland: U can make Forestry Centers here --> for Wood
Mountain: u can Build Mining Centers here --> for Metal

For your second village I suggest to keep mixed.
But if u insist on terraforming i would suggest taking a Lake or a Desert.
after u have chosen u will have to wait for 35minuted for the terraform to complete.
That's a long time so why don't u upgrade the storehouse in the meanwhile.
When u terraform into a Lake u can start of Upgrading / building a Brick kiln(this is where u store Sandstones in).
Because you're never sure what to get from terraforming u should start of building storehouses for your main field kind (if u terraformed to any other build the store house for that)
ok after being busy upgrading storehouses in the meanwhile your terraforming was ready! now u look in your field.. and see that u got a lot of fields u wanted (if not u could terraform again)
If they shine it isn't a bug no they are rich, Rich fields give u 30% extra recourses so they are nice Smile
(don't forget to keep on upgrading your buildings in your first village)
Well this about all I can say about terraforming (continue at 1.5)

1.4
You have chosen not to Terraform and keep the fields u got in your second village.
That's not a problem, what u have to do is not much simply make your fields / storehouses and upgrade upgrade upgrade.

1.5Ok now u have made your second little city Smile we are continuing.
Get all your fields / warehouses to level 4 and start upgrading your castle in your second city.
(also get your fields/Warehouses of your first city to level 4 or higher)
you could be thinking now... I'm getting wood, metal and crystal now.. nice but what can I do with it ?!
easy answer to it. Build a War room, after u build it u can make a Carpenter workshop, Arsenal, Energy Workshop. U can make those under the Military tab
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-23
After u made these u can start making parts o.0 What u can do with parts u will hear later at2.1

2.0 Further on
Assuming
u have reached this point it would mean you didn't become bored with
this game and decided to go on for a bit
Fine by me Let me continue on this guide then ^_^

2.1
Making your First Few Ships

ok, So u have made some parts.
now you're thinking.. why the hell should I make parts..
well that's because they are parts of ships ;O
First of you should Build a light Shipyard u can find this under the military tab.
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-23
after you have done that u decide what to build in your light Shipyard.
A Recon ship is used to scout people around you
a Attack plane is used to attack.
a Attack plane on its own is weak so u have to wait with attacking anything till we have Frigates
well Build as many as you want.
If you have any parts left and they annoy you, you can sell them to the empire or to other players.

2.2First Market Experience.
Ok pay attention now I will put a picture here and explain the colored markings on it.
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-24
At the Yellow marked text u can decide on what to sell/buy
At the Orange Marking it tell a certain amount of money I think it's the highest amount of money some1 is asking for the parts.
At the red Marking u can decide to sell some parts/recourses to the empire at the lowest possible price.
At the Green Marking u can decide to sell all the parts/recourses in stock to the empire at lowest price as well.
At the blue Markings u can decide to Sell your stuff to other players for your price.
At the purple Markings u can decide to Buy stuff from other players for your price.

2.3Learning Skills
U can Learn Skills at 3 different places.

1. The Culture institute
Here you can upgrade the skills Dominance, ambition, Intelligence, and Magic Upgrades
Dominance will let u make 1 new village
Ambition will let u hire 1 more hero
intelligence will make your recon planes investigate better
Magic upgrades will make the magic skills u can cast on your army stronger
Merchants Should Learn Ambition and Dominance because there isnt any use for the other things as merchant
Humans Should Learn Dominance, Intelligence, ambition, and magic marks if he/she likes cause they would need it Smile
and barbarians are kinda the same as Human's =)

2. The Military institute
Has a lot of Skills u can Upgrade I'm not going to explain all of them u should read the tooltip and learn
it gives mostly upgrades for your army, like more fire power, more armor
as Merchant u dont need these (maybe to make Trade Ships)
as Human u will need them to make ships

3. The Nature institute
Here as well a lot of skill Read tooltips to get wiser
u can learn most skills that are useful for making parts / getting more recourses
As Merchant u will need almost all Skills here
As Human u will need a most of these

And OFC You will need Skill points to upgrade any Skill.
you can get skill points buy getting reputation every 100 reputation is 1 skill point
there are 2 ways to get reputation:
By military power(military reputation) and by selling stuff (the so called Commerce Reputation)
Military rep u get by attack anything doesn't matter what just attack and u get rep.(depends on the target how much)
Commerce rep is quite complicated > here < u can find info about commerce Reputation

2.4
Attack Beast Army.

Okies
now u know how market works. u will keep on upgrading your fields
/warehouses and other buildings as much as you can so your cities keep
busy
ok now after u made a few Attack planes and a few Frigates u should try forming a army.
go on the big map a click on this button:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-25
By pressing this u can form your army.
After you formed your fleet u click on a small town that isn't occupied and click this button
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled2-4
Keep clicking this button until u get this message
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled3
Note1 : only do this when u have 600+ Tonnage

Sometimes there are some anoying floating fleets above cities close to you
like this:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-35
To get rid of them u simply move your fleet to them
u do that by clicking on this button when u select you're fleet:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-36
when
u do that u can select where you're fleet should be moving to, so just
select the floating army, once they move towards them and They will
fight when they meet.
Note2: Dont do this when u dont have a reasonable army ;O!

2.5
Archon

Archons why would u need it ?
Hero's have certain Atributes that give u bonusses
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-27
for these two bonusses ur hero must ride on a flagship in your fleet
Holy Would give the fleet this hero is in more fire power
Devil Increases the fleets armor (hero has to ride in the fleet)
To increase a hero's exp when he's in a fleet all u have to do is gain militairy reputation

For the next 2 bonusses u must have your hero as Archon
Light
Gives your city a certain percentage extra recourses /h (needs to be a
Archon for it and only increases it in the city hes appointed to)
Shadow Decreases slightly the time needed to create parts in THIS city (needs to be a archon for it)
To get Exp for your archon u have to get Commerce Reputation

So in other words if you want a usefull Archon u should hire one with much Light and/or Shadow
u can upgrade these stats at the Bright Shrine and Shadowy Shrine

2.6
Flagship ?! Whats that?, how do i get one

There are 2 kind of Flagships Offensive and Defensive.
There isnt that much difference (see image's)
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Defensive Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Offensive

To make the Ships u have to have 3 Kind of parts. Depending on the ship the parts.
U can make the parts in your Carpenter Workshop, Energy Workshop and the Arsenal
to
make parts u also need the Blueprint for it. to get blue prints open
Treasure boxes, defeat NPC Bosses or buy them at the market.
Once u got all parts together u can make a Flagship in your Cloudport.

Well now u think.. nice i got a flagship and now...
Well Flagships have great firepower and are good for defending / Attacking (after u placed emplacements on them ofc see 3.5 for that)
To
defend your city with a flagship u have to put a hero in your flagship
u do that by pressing the Board/Disembark button on your hero info
window
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-29

After doing that form a army(as Explained in 2.4) and if u want to have it defend your city simply have it above your city.
If you wish to attack with it u can aswell =)
(Note2: After Flagship being made it doesnt have firepower this is explained in 3.5)

2.7
Emplacements.... Whats that

Emplacements are Weapons u can place on your Flagship and Dock
(Only on Homemade Flagships and the Dock NOT on the free flagship's)
U can find the emplacements to place on your flagship in the Shipyard
(the Shipyard on the Castle Tab of buildings)
There are 6 Different Emplacements 2 for Dock 4 For Ships
Dont forget to Select the Flagship/Dock
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-30

They all take Ages to complete so Start on time with them =)

Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Empty Re: Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide

Post by Kage Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:39 am

3.0 After Learning
Now you've learned most of the basics
The trick now is to keep upgrading your buildings
and
keep upgrading the skills, Upgrading the skills needed for the next
most important(in your eyes) thing/ item. and then steadily keep
increasing your army.
in this part I will start explaining how to go on as hybrid/commerce style player

3.1
How to keep on Increasing your Commerce Reputation
You have learned a lot and decided to be a Human or merchant.
as
Merchant it's pretty easy you will have to keep upgrading the skills in
the nature institute mostly some skills at culture institute as well
(as human u might need a few skills from military institute to build
ships)
Well as merchant u make parts and sell them on the market for
nice prices and increase your reputation by doing so (human sells like
50% of his parts and make ships form the other parts)
merchants
usual sell good to other alliance members to help them in return (u
hope that) they will help u in return when you are attacked
and
another appealing way of getting rep as merchant/human is to sell
recourses, u simply give your workshops the order to make parts... but
of course u will keep having recourses you don't need.
easy solution is to sell it to the empire nice rep from that(u can also sell to other players but that usually takes long)

3.2how to Keep on increasing you military reputation
If you decide to go on as a merchant don't dare to read this ;O
Only read this when u decided to become a human

to keep on increasing your military rep u can keep on farming small towns close to you (as explained in 2.4).
Or u decide your strong enough and u go to the NPC zone.
The NPC zone is a GREAT place to get more military rep But you will need a strong enough army.
if your eager to know how strong each zone is, it is written > here <
That
topic isn't complete but most zones are in it. I'm not going to advice
about how much you will need for what zone cause I might be wrong. try
thinking about it by yourself ;O

Anyway in the NPC zone u have a lot of small towns with enemy fleets above it.
if u kill the fleet u get military rep + Gold and u can loot the town the fleet was protecting
to load it click this button:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-26
Each zone has it owns Recourse loot.
Every zone has also its own boss, if you kill it you will get a Blue print, boss info can also be found > here <
The only bad thing about the NPC zone is that u will need some sort of rip-off crystal.
u
get only 3 when u start playing u can get more by fighting any NPC army
or u can buy it at the item mall for 5 gift/sky points each.

3.3
Why make 1 kind of Recourse field only with terraforming

This is actualy usefull for any kind of player..
Why should u make a village Specialized into sand/food/metal/wood or crystal?

Reason for Wood, Metal and Crystal:
That because if u do that u can also Specialize that 1 city into 1 kind of parts
What also mean u can make 3 !! the same workshops in that city
so u can make loads of parts at once.

Reason for Food
When your a Barbarian or a Human u will eventualy have a nice huge army..
but that army also EATS and EATS if they dont they will get weaker and die in fights =(
But to feed them u need food.... and for that reason u have a food village
(merchants can also have it to supply alliance members with food or just sell it)

Reason for Sandstone
When your a lvl 1-2 Lord u dont realy need it because u get it with levy taxes..
But after that you will need HUGE heaps of Sandstone..
Take a Caste as example
at lvl2 it needs 128k Sandstones to upgrade
at lvl3 it needs 256k Sandstones to upgrade
at lvl4 it needs 512k Sandstones to upgrade
And lots of other buildings use alot of sandstones
well thats a reason to make a town specialized in Sandstones.

Example's of one Recourse only Village's:
Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled-10 Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide Untitled2-2 Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide 688351505 Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide 582548273 Kage's Small Hybrid/Commerde Guide 742768792

3.4
Benefit of being in a Alliance

Having a (good)Alliance is usefull in many way's i will tell you abit about it.
If u can find a good/Nice alliance with many people around you, do your best and get in it.
having ppl of you're alliance close is usefull, when your being attacked they are soon there to help you.
If people see many others from your alliance close to you they will most likely reconsider attacking.
Being close to a miracle will enable's you to be able of supporting the miracle easialy and fast
and when you have a good aliance u HAVE a miracle ;P
And of course the biggest profit is... ITS WAY MORE FUN WITH MOAR PPLZ !!!! ;D
So this advice is for any kind of player.. go find a nice alliance close to you !! =)

3.5
Why must i send my Hard earned Recourses to our Miracle?

A miracle is some sort of building made in the alliance.
there are 4 different kinds of miracle.
Light, Shadow, Devil, Holy.
yes indeed the same attributes like your hero has.

a Light miracle Gives all members in the alliance a bonus on their Hour production of recourses
Light Miracle lvl*3% = bonus Recourses
a Shadow Miracle Slightly causes your parts to produce faster.
a Holy Miracle increases your fleets Fire power
and a Devil Miracle adds armor to your fleet.
These miracles have effect on everyone in that alliance.

So why should u send some of your recourses over.
Because simply u also get some benefit of the miracle, the higher the miracle the more benefit you have.
Yes
u also have benefit from holy and devil ones because if you are
attacked your alliance would(/should) help you and they have use of the
bonusses then =)
+ its nice to just help out when your getting helped by the miracle aswell =)

Do keep in mind that Sending Recourses will need you to have some Cargo ships.
and u have to be atleast 20 days !! in the alliance before you can send any recourses to it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that's about my Guide
I hope this will help quite a bit..
I kind of took long to make this =))

Me ...
and people that found my minor mistakes
And the other guides for showing me what im missing =)
